Welcome to the South Carolina Good Sam Camping Organization Website.  Here you will find information

     about state Good Sam activities.  There is a list of South Carolina Chapters.  By joining a local chapter, Good

     Sam members can get the most out of being a Good Sam member.  Each chapter lists a contact person for

     that chapter.  Feel free to contact any chapter representative for more information about that chapter's

     activities.  If you cannot find a chapter you can form one by contacting the State Director. You will need to

select a chapter name and elect officers. A minimum of six members is required to form a chapter.

South Carolina Caravan Patch

Caravan Patch-  South Carolina now has a Caravan Patch.  Simply caravan to a state Samboree or mini rally in a group of three or more, fill out the form which can be downloaded below, have it signed by your Chapter Wagonmaster, and bring it to the Good Sam Store during the rally to purchase the patch.  Future caravans to South Carolina Samborees will allow you to qualify for a State Tree patch to go around the original patch.

2013 South Carolina 40th Anniversary Fall Samboree

     The 2013 South Carolina Fall Samboree will be held at Ocean Lakes Family Campground October 3rd to 6th with early bird arrival being as early as September 28th. The 2013 theme will be 50's and 60's. For those of you who have enjoyed the music of Sea-Cruz in the past, they will be providing the entertainment on Friday evening. Doug and Dena Joye will return for the Saturday evening entertainment. We will again have a theme costume contest. Make plans to arrive early and take advantage of what Ocean Lakes Campground and the Myrtle Beach area have to offer.  The campground offers pull through sites with full hookups including 70 channel cable and phone connections.  WiFi is available free throughout the campground.  There are two main swimming pools, one indoors, and several pools for children.  Putt-putt golf is available.  Of course there is the ocean.  A link to Ocean Lakes Campground is listed below.  The Myrtle Beach area has numerous restaurants and several theaters.  For the golfers there are a number of courses.  For more information on the Myrtle Beach area click here.  Brookgreen Gardens is close by in Murrells Inlet.  There is also the Marsh Walk with its view and restaurants.  (Note: you do not have to be a member of a chapter to attend the Samboree.) The 2013 North Carolina Fall Samboree will be held the weekend prior to the South Carolina Samboree. Attend the NC Samboree and show your rally bar from that Samboree at the Good Sam Store in SC and receive a patch for back to back Samborees.

Vendors:  Vendor registration forms can be downloaded by clicking here.  Vendors must also download and submit a Samboree registration form.  Effective in 2010 all vendors must obtain a permit from Ocean Lakes Campground at least 30 days in advance.  The campground charges a $10.00 fee for this.

Mini Rallies

     South Carolina has no Spring Samboree.  In its place there are several mini rallies. See below.

2013 Upstate Mini Rally

      The 2013 upstate mini rally will be held May 16 - 19 at Palmetto Cove RV Park. For those arriving Thursday there will be an optional hot dog supper. Chapters are asked to bring ice cream churns and a cake. There is a $10.00 registration fee for each rig which must be sent with the registration form. The camping fee for Palmetto Cove will be $22.00 per night cash or check only, no credit cards. 2013 Coastal Mini Rally

      The Coastal region will hold its fall mini rally November 7th to 10th 2013 at Cypress Camping Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. I have 35 sites reserved. Each person desiring to attend must call the campground at (843) 293-0300 to make a reservation. A $50.00 deposit will be required. Be sure to mention that it is for the Good Sam rally.
