South Carolina Caravan Patch
Caravan Patch- South Carolina now has a Caravan Patch. Simply caravan to a state Samboree or mini rally in a group of three or more, fill out the form which can be downloaded below, have it signed by your Chapter Wagonmaster, and bring it to the Good Sam Store during the rally to purchase the patch. Future caravans to South Carolina Samborees will allow you to qualify for a State Tree patch to go around the original patch.

2010 South Carolina Fall Samboree
The 2010 South Carolina Fall Samboree will be held at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach, SC September 30th to October 3rd. Early bird arrival is Wednesday September 29th with early-early bird arrival beginning Sunday September 26th. The theme for this year's rally is Peanuts- the Characters and the Food. The Samboree includes an optional tour of the Charleston Tea Plantation, a stop at Angel Oak (the oldest live oak tree in SC), and a bus tour of Charleston. The tour includes a box lunch. This tour will be on Wednesday September 29th and departs Ocean Lakes by 8AM. Persons wishing to take the tour should plan on arriving at the campground no later than Tuesday September 28th. Price for the tour is $55.00 per person and is limited to the first 54 to sign up. Make plans to arrive early and take advantage of what Ocean Lakes Campground and the Myrtle Beach area have to offer. The campground offers pull through sites with full hookups including 70 channel cable and phone connections. WiFi is available free at the snack bar or at your site through a third party provider for a fee. There are two main swimming pools, one indoors, and several pools for children. Putt-putt golf is available. Of course there is the ocean. A link to Ocean Lakes Campground is listed below. The Myrtle Beach area has numerous restaurants and several theaters. Vendors: Vendor registration forms can be downloaded by clicking here. Vendors must also download and submit a Samboree registration form. Effective in 2010 all vendors must obtain a permit from Ocean Lakes Campground at least 30 days in advance. The campground charges a $10.00 fee for this.
Mini Rallies
South Carolina has no Spring Samboree. In its place there are several mini rallies. Also, The Rally is being held in Louisville, KY in July 2010. This is co-sponsored by Good Sam. It is an opportunity for those living in the eastern half of the U.S. to attend this rally.
2010 Upstate Mini Rally
The upstate region 2010 mini rally was held at Palmetto Cove Campground May 13th - 16th. There were over 80 rigs in attendance. The 2011 upstate mini rally will be held at Palmetto Cove May 12th - 15th 2011 with early bird arrival available as early as May 8th. Check back here in early 2011 for a registration form. 2010 Coastal Mini Rally
The Coastal region will hold its fall mini rally November 5th to 7th at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's in Tabor City, NC. Everyone is encouraged to participate in a pot luck supper Saturday evening. A hot dog lunch will be provided Saturday. Friday evening a dinner will be provided. There are several local restaurants if you wish to eat on your own. The campground's snack bar will be open for breakfast on your own. Each person must register with the campground at least 30 days prior to the rally. To be parked in a specific location or with a group your registration must be received by the campground no later than October 1st. After that, you will be parked in any available space. The campground may be contacted at (910) 653-2155 or (877) 668-8586, ask for Diane and be sure to mention the SC Coastal Rally. A deposit will be required.
